VLC (beta) now available in the Play Store Download

You will be spared the long gestation period that led to the landing of VLC Media Player in the Android store, just know that after a couple of weeks ago it was promised on his arrival " within days ", All began to worry about not having already seen anything appear in the Play Store. At least until now.

Celebrating moderation.

First of all, this is still a beta and the VLC team has already released a list of what is developed:

The user interface will change in the final version
Insufficient performance improvements
Problems can happen with the audio
Hardware decoding works only with a limited number of devices
Likely still other problems unknown
If this were not enough, the developers have added a further disclaimer:

This is a BETA version of the port for Android ™ platform. It is intended for experienced users and hackers. This version is NOT stable and is slower than the final.

Last but not least (so to speak), the app only works in the Play Store ARMv7 CPU with extensions that support NEON. For other devices will have a different version.

The warnings are not there by chance: in our short test app has presented the occasional stutter and also activating the hardware acceleration (do this, if possible, because the performance of the software are of course much lower) we were not able to reproduce a smoothly mp4 video in full HD on Samsung Galaxy S II.
