Researchers have created a transparent solar cell for windows of the future

A new survey conducted by UCLA scientists could revolutionize the world of technology and energy, succeeded in creating an almost transparent solar cell that theory on a large scale can be placed in the windows of homes, offices, etc.

The polymer absorbs the solar infrared radiation instead of visible light, thus remains a 66% transparent and can be used in a window, because we can see through it.

According to lead researcher Professor Yang Yang,

"Our results open new possibilities for making optically transparent polymer photovoltaics that can be used as dressings in portable electronic devices, smart windows and other applications"
