Google Translator is Updated and Recognizes the Photographed Text

Important update for today's Google translator, who is now able to use the camera to capture the text, translates it and recognizes it instantly. It was also introduced a similar function to "instant" in Google searches, which translates the words while we type.

Using the camera to translate the text is so easy as it sounds and recognition is very good (see images at end of article, where we accidentally highlighted a few lines written smaller, which were also translated effectively), the ' only note is the fact that we highlight with a finger portion of text to be translated , but this must be done without lifting your finger from the screen, otherwise the translation will instantly start: this way we can highlight only portions close to each other from time to time. The image is also compatible with the pinch to zoom, but when magnified, if we try to scroll the program will interpret it as text selection, so be very careful to the point of zoom.

As for the instantaneous translations there is very little to say: do they work properly, but are only effective if you enjoy good network coverage, otherwise you will first finish writing the word without the app will not provide any results.

Among other innovations even let you choose between the various dialects of one language for the input function voice: so that we can give a preference to British English rather than the American or Australian, but unfortunately still no Italian on the list.

A short, rather robust update to an app that does not receive too often and that makes it even more complete and worthy of a place in your devices.
