The patience of Judge Lucy Koh, the lawsuit between Apple and Samsung chairman, is gradually reaching. She asked an Apple lawyer or perhaps he had smoked crack, when he asked for after the pleadings Samsung may call additional witnesses.
"Unless you smoke crack, you know that these witnesses will not be called" Koh responded after the jury had left the room. "Your Honor, I can assure you that I do not smoke crack," responded the Apple lawyer dry.
Judge Lucy Koh did it drop out of frustration over the length of the witness lists on both sides, especially since both sides every 25 hours but have gotten to their case. Earlier this week the court already expressed his dissatisfaction with the amount of paperwork that "the legions of lawyers' court employees overwhelm.
Last week, Apple could upholster his complaints and this week mocht Samsung do the same? Next week the closing arguments expected, and then the people will consider a jury verdict in the escalating row between Apple and Samsung.
The judge has the CEOs of Apple and Samsung asked for more time to sit around the table for the jurydeliberaties and start a settlement. Koh has been a few times on one such arrangement actuated, without success.
