The New Auto Save Options Introduced in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion


The auto save feature introduced in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Thanks to this auto save feature automatically saves all changes while editing and when closing a document. Under the heading auto save features include a duplicate and store.


In Mountain Lion, Apple has some of the auto save features expanded and improved, while they respond to the criticisms of the 10.7 users

At the time a document is duplicated then you get the opportunity to direct the name to adapt and the duplicate in the same folder as the original.

Mac OS X will have multiple versions of a file store. When you last opened the quick version of a document to open you can do this through:

Archive Revert last opened

If you do not have a document with a name (unnamed) than in icloud is automatically saved so you can customize the document from all your devices that icloud active. There are also two new keyboard shortcuts added to duplicate and save as.

CMD + Shift + S

Save As toetscombinaite:

cmd + option + Shift + S
