The new generation of Apple
notebooks has been submitted this year because of the unavailability of Intel
processors to deliver a new generation of low power. Now Intel has finally
started shipping the updated chip to be used in the new generation MacBook Air
and MacBook Pro.
Initial Core M 5Y10c model with
dual-core proce works at such a frequency of 800 MHz with the ability to ramp
up to 2 GHz mode Turbo Boost. The older model in the lineup Core M 5Y71
similarly has two cores with four virtual threads and 1.2 GHz in normal mode
and 2.9 GHz when you turn on Turbo Boost.
In the system update on chips
line Core M 5Y also present HD 5300 graphics chip with a clock speed of 300 to
900 MHz. Most notably, the chips have presented an extremely low level of 4.5
watts of heat that could allow Apple to release MacBook Air without active
cooling system.
The release of the new MacBook
Air will take place in early 2015.
