The four internet giants Google , Facebook , Amazon and eBay have decided to join forces to form a new group called 'Internet Association' which will aim to "strengthen and protect an open, free and innovative Internet" .
Head of the team is former staff director of the American Committee on Energy and Commerce, Michael Beckerman, who said in a statement that "the open Internet leads to innovation, creates jobs and why we should stop any attempt to silence the Y.”
The new group has its own website and is expected to intensify its actions by September.
