On Facebook, click the like button on YouTube will give you a "Thumb Up" on Twitter with your favorite tweets put an asterisk on Instagram and give you a heart that you have a photo like. Gradually, you collect a lot of 'fun things' that are scattered on all platforms so you lose the overview. The Mac application Favs appeared a few months ago and combines all this information in an interface, so all you favorites at your fingertips. Now there is an associated iPhone app released with support for 17 networks.
The offer is huge. Besides the already mentioned services and websites are also Dribbble, Flattr, Flickr, Github, Google Reader, Pinboard, Instapaper, Readability, Vimeo and Zootool plus a host of other supports.
The iPhone app brings the same way as the Mac app all favorites together. Instead of favorites that on all social networks and websites are divided you get everything neatly in a row to see. There's a search function so you can easily find that one favorite, even if you do not know which site you originally saw. But Favs can do more. You can also use the public favorites of people who you admire or who often something interesting to say. The public favorites such Twitter, Flickr and Vimeo of valued people are using this app to see. New additions are marked as unread, so you structured your list of favorites of others can work.
But the app is also great to use for your own favorites. For services where the favorites are private, you must first login.
