The good news, however, are not only these, as part of the code Linaro was sent to CyanogenMod and, once approved, should be included in future versions of CM9, to the delight of all supported devices. Obviously there is no idea when this will happen, or if the improvements will be applicable to any model, but certainly it is an added value for what is already the world's most popular custom firmware, and therefore also for its users.
To demonstrate this, a first unofficial build of CyanogenMod 9 with extensions for Linaro Galaxy Nexus immediately gave proof of the goodness of code added.
If there is anything that seemed too good to be true, There is a video made by a developer Linaro, Bernhard Rosenkranzer , which shows him in action on a processor TI OMAP 4430 (the same as that in 3D Optimus / 3D Max, Atrix 2 and Galaxy Tab 2, just to give examples).
