With the advent of Windows Mobile 7.5 came for the first smartphones with a so-called front-facing camera to Windows Phone. Even today, not every smartphone has a camera on the front, just think of the Nokia 800 Lumia. Is it really necessary that a device has a camera at the front? The study conducted by WPCentral gives a clear answer to that question.
The study shows that only 66% of the total surveyed said not to use the camera on the front of their Windows Mobile smartphone is. That is a shockingly high number would say. The 12% indicates that in the future may well wishes to use the front-facing camera that makes it not good. It is remarkable that a relatively (23%) large proportion of respondents indicating that you wait for Windows Phone 8, wherein the integration with Skype would be better.
I am curious if the advent of Windows Phone 8 actually will make a difference in the use of the camera. My hunch says because it is not. Do you make much use of the front-facing camera?
