Apple has a patent received on a finding that is actually more or less on the iPhone: an app that allows you to retrieve product information by scanning a barcode. You'll also immediately see prices, so you know where you're from the cheapest. In a picture in the patent as examples a Panasonic TV, a Sony TV has shown. After scanning the barcode, you can see a picture of the product, with the recommended selling price, a link to consumer information and a price. The app seems to be meant for people who want to shop with their mobile and in-store information like directions.
Barcode Scanner similar apps have already developed. But maybe Apple's solution still further. This is an application that allows iWallet shopping and carrying out transactions expressly central. Retailers and manufacturers would even be able to send relevant product information to interested consumers. And the button "Touch Scan" notes that Apple might recognize the next with a camera and using the barcode also an NFC-like recognition is built into the app. Figure 2 in the patent also mentions an NFC chip, like a beam center back on the iPhone is made.
