Apple prepares AirPlay Direct

Wireless Protocol AirPlay from Apple allows you to broadcast different multimedia content between compatible devices. You can send audio from iPod touch to stationary speakers, play your video or duplicate picture from iPad to Apple TV, and more. But if you now this requires a network of Wi-Fi, it is possible that in September it will be required.

To date, AirPlay-compatible speakers are often equipped with a 30-pin connector. No Wi-Fi network - so if you please, "the old way" to install the device in the docking station and use it as long as the music plays. Yes, almost all iPhone and iPad last very "able" to create a network through the "Internet Tethering", but there are already three reservations. First, the "Mode" must be approved by the operator. Secondly, to make it work, you need to insert SIM-card and include "Cellular Data". Third, the "regime" does not appear on iPod touch or at two iPad.

So, if you believe The Telegraph, Apple wants to do regardless of AirPlay wireless network. Any device can be connected directly to the speakers! About broadcast photos and videos in this way in the primary source do not say anything - but there is also a word, about the "Tethering", and this is an obvious thing.

Once Wi-Fi network is not needed, and there will be no need for connectors on the acoustics. Just in time, as in «iPhone 5" will be the new connector. So at least some companies are not obliged to update all of their line of accessories. This plan Apple is just telling you.

In conversations with manufacturers Apple acoustics flashes name «AirPlay Direct», which, however, may be far from definitive.
